Premgit has been a photographer for over 30 years and for the last 25 years has solely concentrated on making fine black and white prints using film and traditional darkroom techniques.
He has a deep love for the creative processes involved in producing images of excellence in this medium which in turn has led to his work being published in books and magazines worldwide.
ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPH
Hardwar is a holy Hindu city in the foothills of the Himalayas and attracts thousands of pilgrims to the banks of the sacred river Ganges. This hill farmer was sitting smoking his clay chillum after having bathed in the freezing fast flowing waters and offering prayers to the river that Hindus believe is divine.
