Working from hand drawn pencil sketches, Jenny uses free motion machine embroidery to breathe new life into second hand fabric and often finish pieces with paint to add additional texture to these beautiful quirky designs.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born in Devon, Jenny has returned to her roots after living in Wales for several years and studying textiles at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Her love of the ocean and its wildlife brought her back to her hometown of Plymouth where she can celebrate nature through textile work and sketching.
She enjoys using art to educate about wildlife conservation and has worked in collaboration with the WWT London Wetlands Centre, the British Dragonfly Society and the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth. She have also had work displayed in several National Trust properties and whilst studying for her degree, was awarded the Santander Universities Entrepreneurship Award in recognition of creativity and innovative spirit.
